Hi, im a newly passed RN at New Mexico State, im a BSN international graduate, and i am a california resident, i applied for license endorsement at state of nevada. I was just wondering why do they still require me to take the english proficiency exam? I have a friend who just got his permanent license from state of nevada, and we have the same situation, i just need help about the english proficiency exam because he didn't take it but still granted a permanent license. I hope fellow colleagues could help me. Thankyou so much :)

you live in CA, took the Nclex in New Mexico and now what a license in NV, where do you want to work? According to the NV Bon you must complete the English proficiency test, other then the expense this should be easy, all health care professionals should speak English fluently.

So i applied at New Mexico since they do process papers quickly, my other friends did the same thing too. Now i opt to nevada since its just a state nearby cali. I am exploring all my other options to work as rn already. I just wondered how come my friend who has the same situation like i did was not required english exam and had his permanent license just yesterday. Thank you for your time
