4. If you are required to submit official transcripts or examination results, arrange for the school or examination entity to send the documents directly to the Board. The Board cannot accept copies of these documents or other required documents sent by the applicants themselves.

6. For those applicants who are required to undergo a Criminal History Background Check: Schedule an appointment to have your fingerprints digitally recorded as soon as you receive the fingerprinting instruction sheet and the preprinted form from the Board. To save time, you can schedule an appointment to be fingerprinted at the next available appointment anywhere in New Jersey,instead of the next available appointment closest to your home. There are 17 fingerprinting locations throughout New Jersey and some are busier than others

If you live within 10 miles of a NJ border (like me--despite living across the Delaware River in PA), need to get fingerprints done at a NJ Identigo facility. Otherwise, can be done at facility in your area. I've had a NJ license for over 30 yrs so no experience with online application.

Instructions for Out Of State Residents Requesting a Fingerprint-Based New Jersey Criminal History Record Check (records from NJ only):

If you are an out-of-state resident but live, work, or attend school within a 10-mile radius of the NJ borders, you must be fingerprinted at an IdentoGO fingerprint site in NJ or at a participating out-of-state IdentoGO Universal Enrollment site. If your zip code is on the Restricted Zip Code List, you must select one of the Personal Record Request Service Codes listed above and schedule an appointment with IdentoGO at https://uenroll.identogo.com/. -For the nursing school transcript, my school is not mailing any transcripts out. They are only emailing pdfs due to COVID. Can I email it to the board? Is it suppose to be mailed out? Can I upload it on the website? I cant find information on it on the website.

Next, for the Criminal History Background check do I wait for the Board to send me a card or can I just go there myself. And if I go there myself what form do I have to bring and fill out?

I’ve attached my checklist. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Genesis_BSN_RN Did you end up figuring out about the transcripts portion of the application? I’m in the same boat and called NJBON and they said they would let me know if I needed to mail them in?. If I need to I’d definitely rather figure it out now then last minute! Please let me know how/if you needed to!

Hi,
I’m in the process of applying RN license by endorsement. I did my finger prints, they haven’t asked me for my school transcript and my pictures and passport picture I keep trying to upload but it still says unchecked. How long after they got your background check did you get your license? I’m panicking a little because I am supposed to start my job soon ?
