I would like to ask if there are any RN from another state that wants to endorse their license to CA who graduated from Philippines. Coz I heard a lot of denials from the CA BON after the transcript was evaluated by the analyst. I would like to ask after year 2010 when the CA imposed the strict rules to the PH grad if there is any successful applicant who was approved from seeking RN endorsement from CA BON? Coz currently I'm still waiting for the CA BON reply regarding my application. Hope it goes well. I will update you guys regarding the result of my application. I just want to ask you regarding your process in the your CA endorsement.

Moved to the Nurse Registration forum
There have been a few posters post they received a license with CA but more than not we see refusal and need to do a couple of courses
Hi there. I just check Ca Board of Nursing website and indeed my name appeared with the RN license number. I was so happy after i saw my name was already there. I emailed my analyst the day before my name was in the website. I asked him about the development of my RN endorsement application coz it's more than a month that the CA BON received my transcript from the Philippines. He did not replied but the following day while checking the Ca BON website my name appeared. I confirmed it when i log in to my Ca breeze account. To my fellow nurses from Philippines don't loose hope. I graduated 2005 back then and migrated here in US last 2014 and I heard a lot of concurrency issues. So i try my luck to endorse my license to California while working here in Kentucky. We will reunite with our family in California. Hope all of you will inspire. I did not take any classes at all. So to my fellow PH nurses be positive there is always a light in the end of the tunnel.....:)

Congrats on endorsement to CA.
Just for the record, CA did not impose the strict concurrency rules, the CA BRN simply started to enforce the concurrency rules (set in 1987) in Nov., 2011.
The primary reason you were able to get the CA endorsement is the CA BRN set the 2004-2005 graduation date/year as the last year, that would not have to meet the decades old concurrency rules. There have been several successful PH applicant posters here who not only received their CA license but did so without having to re-take the deficient courses.
It's the PH grads who from the 2005-2006 (yes, there's a thin borderline still in the 2005 year) and onwards that must meet the concurrency requirements.
Thank you steppybay. Hope our fellow PH graduate will be positive about CA application. Before I apply for NCLEX RN, I asked our dean if there's a chance to be approved in CA if I start my application there. Her response is try other state first then if you pass try to endorse it to CA coz there's a lot of denied application if the entry point is CA. So I listen to her advice. I applied my RN NCLEX in Texas BON. I was able to pass it the first time. After that I try to apply my RN endorsement to CA. The requirements from my school includes my transcripts, clinical logbooks rotation and my school also include my OR/DR cases.

Do you know with 100% assurance that you completed ALL of your cases and classroom courses all within the same exact date and time? If you have just one out of sequence, the application will be declined. They cannot be 1 day or 1 week or more before or after your classroom started.
Let us assume you know for sure that's not a problem and you're in compliance.
You also have either your SSN or ITIN to put on your application then go for it.
You can ask 1,001 different people and forums and get 1,001 of either the same answer or 1,001 different answers. The only positive way to know exactly if your transcripts will meet the CA BRN requirements is to simply apply with your non-refundable application fees.
Only the CA BRN evaluator can give you the right and the one only answer.
There's no need to clog the phone lines to the CA BRN by calling them as they are not mind readers (nor a single person on this forum or any other forum) and only AFTER submission of your transcripts can you go further with your answers.
Remember also every one is a case-by-case evaluation, so what may be approved by your batchmate may not be given the same answer for you, if let's say, you missed out on a delivery case, no mistake of your own, it just didn't work out for whatever reason.
Don't wait to long to start your application as it will take months since the CA BRN will be dealing with the new extra work load of all the local CA resident applications plus all the new out of state applicants also applying into CA just graduating. The Phils applicants also numbers in the 10's of thousands trying their luck to get the ATT. The early bird gets the worm.
Good luck. Keep us posted on your journey!
Yes, CA Board of Nursing mailed my license within 1 week after I check my name in their website. Try to start your application and wait for their reply. Each application has it's own analyst that assigned by CA BON.

Also it is important for all to know that if you are a doctor from Philippines or any other country for that matter, you will do be made eligibile to take the Nclex Rn exam for the california board of registered nursing.
So do not waste your time and money applying to California Brn.
It is better to apply to the board of vocational nursing in california and get approved and take the Nclex LVN exam for CA.

No, my analysts did not ask for it but my school suggested to include it when they mailed my transcripts to CA BON...
