RN eligibility for international Nurse

Hello All..!

My name is Jolly & I am new to this page.

I am reaching to Nurses and Advisors to seek information on RN exam.

I am GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) from India, currently residing in Canada. I gave-up the thought to give RN for 7 years but I am interested to write RN exam again but have no leads whether GNM nurses from India are allowed or given eligible to write NCLEX exam in United States.? I do understand that individual state has their own criteria and so I would like to know which states give eligibility and how should I proceed with the application if I can get answer from any one who is aware about it.

I would really appreciate any leads or information regarding this and would like to be in touch with GNM nurse who has done the process and or is holding RN licence currently.

Hi. I have met some international nurses from India via Avant (employment agency) here in the US. So definitely a possibility for you to write NCLEX. Start with the State that don't need SSN with RN licensure I.e. NY, MI. You will need CGFNS to assess your international education depending on the State.

Hello.! Thank you so much for answering my question. I am going to look into this process and I hope I get the eligibility to write the exam.
