RN-BSN outcome??

I'm sure there are many threads on this already, but I cannot find any recent ones at least. Can anyone share their experience as a BSN prepared nurse. I mean people that had their RN first, then went on for your BSN. Did you change positions? Get promoted? Increase in pay? Just curious. I know it all depends on where you work, which field, and amount of experience. Just want to hear some real-life stories. Thanks in advance :)

I'm almost finished with my BSN; does that count? No I will not receive an increase in salary, or change in my position. I'm already a charge nurse.

The only thing that will change is that I am *finally* eligible for the clinical ladder. Sure, ASNs are eligible, but it is literally impossible to attain for an ASN, since a BSN gets so many points on the ladder. So now I can actually possibly qualify to get a small, yearly bonus.

Oh yay for you! lol....so where did you go for ASN? BSN?

more eligible to apply to magnet hospitals, but competition remains fierce. You can also apply to grad schools. Pay is only slightly higher.
