Riverside School of Health Careers RN program

Hello everyone!

I am looking for current, past, and even prospective students for Riverside's RN program. I will be applying for the September 2013 professional nursing program. For current or past students, what was your GPA and teas score? Also how was the program, instructors, clinicals? I did attend the last open house in December and I was hoping that a student or recent grad would be there to talk about their experience. I love how the instructors seem to be really supportive and the small campus also appealed to me. To other prospective students what start date are you applying to and do you have any other nursing/healthcare experience? Any advice or other information on the program is greatly appreciated!

Hey! I know that I could do the program at ODU for sure. I am pretty sure as long as you have the prereqs done and your rn license then you could do any rn-bsn program but I do not know all of the specifics

I do plan on ending up with my bsn and then possibly getting a masters

Ok cool! I also plan on applying here for the spring start. Im just afraid that if I end up with a diploma, I won't be able to get a bachelors. I hope all programs offer that transition though!

Yes, that's absolutely correct! If your prerequisites are complete and you are a licensed RN then you qualify to apply to all the programs that I've researched (ODU, VCU, Sentara, and Bon Secours Memorial College). The prereqs needed may vary slightly depending on the school. I definitely plan on getting my BSN once I have all prereqs done! :)

Riverside really is a great program and everyone on staff that I've met there has been wonderful

No prob :). Yea approx 2 years. Each school yr you get just about a month break in April, August, and December.

I know it! Some days time seems to fly by and other times time is goes by super slow. I have a FB, I'll send a PM with my info!

Yes I do, im on it but every once in awhile. I'll PM u my name lol! Don't want everyone finding me. But this may be my next option. I didn't pass my TEAS which I took yesterday. I was so nervous and ran out of time in reading and math. Sentara will not want me with that as my score and if I decided to retake it would have to be in NC, all testing dates before the 19th are filled in VA. Sucks!!

Yea it is but I'm not, I'm still pushing. Sentara is pretty pricey as well, I think God has a better plan for me even though I really want sentara lol. What's the tuition for riverside anyways?
