Riverside Community College Spring 2012 Applicants

Published

Did anyone else apply to the RCC program for Spring 2012? Does anyone know if we will have to wait until January to find out whether or not we get in? I'm hoping they will let us know by December. This waiting is torture!

I also applied for Spring 2012, and the email I got said January. But I'm hoping to find out before Christmas so I'm not stressed about it over the holidays!

I also applied for spring 2012! Good luck :)

Hi there,

I also applied for the Spring 2012 semester too. I just got an email invitation to take the Teas V test with them on November 18th. I already took the exam earlier this year for another program I applied to (but didn't get in..boo hoo). So I plan to just forward my test scores to RCC.

Anyone else receive an invitation?

Unfortunately I wasn't invited to take the TEAS but I already took them anyway... that probably means my chances of getting into the program is very slim. But I can still submit my TEAS scores which is probably what I'm going to do.

I also got invited to take the TEAS on Nov. 18th.....I better get back to studying for it !! :) GOOD LUCK everyone ! Anyone know how many applicants they had and how many they are accepting ??

DId those of you who recieved an invitation to take the teas have 4.0 in the science courses required? I had one B and am wondering if that was keeping me from getting an invite?

Thanks!

Hey there,

I got A's in Anatomy and Physiology and a B+ in Microbiology, which is about a 3.7 or 3.8 for my science pre-req GPA. But I also took inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry and got B's in those courses. I know RCC doesn't require those chemistry courses for their science pre-reqs, but I think that could be why I received an invite to take the TEAS @ RCC.

Even if you don't get an invite from RCC, don't let that deter you. I would sign up thru ATI Testing to take the exam at another location and have that test site forward your scores to RCC. :)

I think they accept 90 or so and they have between 600 and 1000 applicants. i could be completely wrong though...

For those of you that have already taken the TEAS, how many overall points do you have and does anyone know how many points you need to have to be competitive for RCC Spring 2012? I've heard they get around 600 applications but not all applicants have completed the prerequisites.

If you look at posts from previous application periods it seems that around 80 points is the cut-off. But you never know, it all depends on the size and strength of the application pool.

I applied for the Spring 2012 as well. I'm taking the TEAS on the18th. I spoke with the Jackie, the nursing ed advisor and she said that they are taking 100 students for the Spring and that notifications of acceptance or denial should go out before Christmas. Good luck to everybody!! :)
