Riverside City College: Spring 2017

Published

Greetings all future RN students. I just wanted to start a thread for any potential applicants who will be applying to riverside city college RN program this September for Spring 2017. Let's all get together on this thread and share experiences as well as answer questions. I know the application period is 6 months away, but it will be here before you know it!

My friends in the program, and she said a lot of the students got in with 75 points.

This waiting is killing me!! I just want to know haha.

For those of us who took the TEAS at RCC, how do we send the school our scores?

I think historically, 70-75 points gets you in. My buddy said that last spring was a weirdly strong pool of applicants, and even 80 points didn't keep you safe.

Rcc already has them

I have a friend that got in that semester and she said that there were a lot of people with bachelor degrees.. :/

I was trying to be positive with 80 points, and now I'm freaking out it's not enough ): let's just pray we all make it. Good luck everyone.

Specializes in ER.
I have 70 points overall .. Don't think I'm getting in /:

Keep your head up. I believe a portion of the students that are chosen get in through a lottery. There's still a chance.

We all need to stay positive right now! Alternates sometimes get in with lower scores and they also do that small % random draw. I've read past boards where people got in with 65 pts. Even if we don't make it this semester, there's always the next round.

ahhh idk how i'm gonna not lose my mind this month waiting to hear our fate! stay sane everyone lol

Btw do you guys know if rcc lets me retake the teas at a diff location to get a higher score and count that score instead and then reapply next semester ?

Rcc only accets your first passing score no matter where you take it. This time around was a little different because the teas was switching versions and that allowed some people to take the 6 version to get a higher score. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure RCC in particular only takes your first passing score. I know J_____ told me to make sure that if I'm taking the TEAS, I should aim to really make it count.

No only your first score counts
