Riverside City College: Spring 2017

Published

Greetings all future RN students. I just wanted to start a thread for any potential applicants who will be applying to riverside city college RN program this September for Spring 2017. Let's all get together on this thread and share experiences as well as answer questions. I know the application period is 6 months away, but it will be here before you know it!

Specializes in ER.

I got what I needed as well. Will be at 85 points. Hurry up December !!

So you get 5 pts for life experience? The multi-criteria form states 5 pts. total, which indicates you have to qualify for more than 1 category to earn multiple pts. I qualify for 1, hence the 76. If it's 5 pts. for 1 or more, then I'll have 80 pts.

Life experience is five points total as long as one applied to you.

Sweet!!! Thanks for the info.

I didn't do that high but it doesn't matter lol it's the same point bracket lol

I needed a 78 or above, so that's what I was shooting for. I was surprised when I saw my score, but totally pumped. Then, I was kinda pissed because I was only 2 % pts away from the top pt bracket! Oh well, I guess I have 80 pts instead of 76, so that helps. Just praying all of my classes are accepted, since most of them are from an out-of-state university.

Did you get them cleared? Wasn't that supposed to be done before the end of the application period?

I took the teas today too. I'm at 80 points! I hope that's good enough! Were we suppose to send them some kind of proof for our life experience and foreign language??

Nope, the RN department told me that prerequisite validation forms aren't required for the RN application.

I'm fairly certain I remember reading that no proof was necessary, which is kinda crazy. I sent documentation for my category with my application, but it wasn't required.

I'm trying to figure out how many points it took last spring to get in. I think it's usually less than fall. I know they said two failed on Thursday and I know for two who took it on Friday who won't be going to this school. I know that if you took it at rcc that's half the battle because your apart of the top students science gpa wise... ugh I'm starting to stress out. It's going to be a long month

How many people got in with a 70 when you applied ? I did really bad in my teas

I have 70 points overall .. Don't think I'm getting in /:
