Riverside City College: Spring 2017

Published

Greetings all future RN students. I just wanted to start a thread for any potential applicants who will be applying to riverside city college RN program this September for Spring 2017. Let's all get together on this thread and share experiences as well as answer questions. I know the application period is 6 months away, but it will be here before you know it!

I'll just follow up on Monday. Hopefully they give me a spot as an alternate, but I think they made a mistake. I worked hard for those grades!! Congrats you guys!

Thanks, this is my 3rd time applying and I have been seriously considering my other options. This gives me a little hope but the anxiety has not stopped yet!!!

THIS is my second time around applying and i think ill go in on monday and just talk to them since they never pick up the phone lol

I have a 3.6 gpa in sciences. I already took the teas v, so I'm probably declining my invitation.

Maybe I should go in also. I guess I'll just be depressed while waiting this entire weekend lol!!!

lets go monday! haha

Congrats! I also got an invite today -- but I will be declining because I've gotten over 90% on the TEAS already. Good luck to those taking it, study hard! The online practice tests and the book will be your best friends!

I just received an invite for the TEAS like two hours ago:wideyed:

They only invite 100 to take the teas so maybe you were lower in another area. I was invited

I have 3.7 gen ed gpa

2 A's and 1 B for the sciences

language profiency

the hardship thing

and an LVN license

I was told by one of the nursing department staff members that my stats were descent enough for an invite when I confirmed my points during an appointment. I'll find out this Monday. I just hope they give me a spot as an alternate for the teas.

did you apply for both the normal track and accelerated track?

That was the plan, but I was late to the nursing 18 transition course and my spot was given to another Lvn. It's okay though, because one of the nursing department staff members told me my chances would be slim since they go by priority for the Lvn-RN program. I only applied to the two year program for RCC.
