Do you guys know if the LVN to RN route is easier as in there is not as many applicants versus just going directly to RN

From what I remember, you don’t have to take the TEAS, you only need a 2.3 GPA in sciences instead of 2.5, and you have to pass the AP exam after taking Nursing 18. After, you’re randomly selected to take the skills competency exam and if you pass, you should be accepted. I think there’s usually around 10 spots for LVN to ADN per application.

The application pool is smaller but you have to take and pass Nursing 18 then pass the challenge exam. Like the TEAS scores on the challenge exam determine how many points are applied.

Okay thanks guys if I don’t get accepted into the cep I might consider that route instead.

Or J had told me that you can retake your science courses and they would take your new grade, I got a B in micro that’s what’s brining my gpa down. So that’s another option

So are we going to be finding out by Friday this week?

The new time frame is by next Friday latest. Buuuttt that might change then. I dont doubt that they will send decision by the end of November though. I am sure they dont want us duplicating our applications and making more work for them by submitting this month again.

Specializes in None.

Off topic, but doesn't West Coast University let you know if you're in their nursing program in like...5 minutes?

FOr the amount they are asking in tuition, I would imagine they don’t turn anyone down lol

I was thinking the same thing. Over 60K I think it is. Hell to the no!!

Yes west coast lets you know right away but you are also paying over $100,000 for a BSN. Well if you have all the prerequisites its like 80,000

Revolt, demonstrate,or strike against your spouse if he/she is not bothered with this waiting and all the anxieties. I chose not to have sex anymore until I hear from *****. So yesterday at 5am, and for the first time, I was asked, “Honey did you hear from *****?” And just like that we are in this together...
