Hello Everyone,
I initially took my HESI on June 25,2016.
I studied off/on for about 2 weeks prior, also I had just finished A&P II so I did not study that section at all.
My overall was a 80.40%
Math 54% (failing, needed 75>)
Reading comprehension 90%
Grammar 78%
Reading 88%
Anatomy & Physiology 93%
Critical thinking 900/1000
I am weak in math, and underestimated that section with regards to studying.
Planning on retaking in September, so this means I'll be starting to review very soon.
Any tips, study guides, study schedule would be greatly appreciated.
I am a little nervous because under most school codes you can only take the HESI twice, so this is my last chance.
The guide I used is the Elsevier purple/white cover, also utilized some online practice questions.
I live in Texas, and am applying to UT Health Houston, and UTMB (taking TEAS later).

Hi Andrea...the Elsevier HESI book is a great way to study for the math...it has everything you need to know and explains it very well...
I also use: HESI A2 Math Practice Test - Hesi A2 Practice Test
Free Math worksheets, Free phonics worksheets, Math Games and Online activities and Quizzes (another poster recommended it and it's really good)
Hope this helps out (oh don't forget to use your calculater if possible...even if you just use it to double check your answers)
Good blessings on your retake...your scores are great for the other section so you should be fine once you brush up on your math skills:)
Hey AnewNur,
Thank you for the suggestions with the links!
I understand now that I need to just really review and take the practice tests for the math, more than once. My biggest fault was not going back to that chapter multiple times.
Thanks for the blessings, truly appreciated!
