Hi All,
I am a December 2011 graduate from an ADN program, currently preparing to take my boards, but have not received my ATT as of yet (hoping for a Feb date). I would like to send some resumes/cover letters out, but I am not sure how to approach the lack of credentials behind my name.
Also, I would really like to send a resume to a particular facility, but I missed the deadline for "new grads" (it was Oct 1, 2011). Should I still A: apply (ie: play dumb, which I don't really care to do) to any med-surg position or B: send an email to HR asking if all the positions have been filled.
Any advice would be great, thank you:)
P.S. I wrote this post earlier, but somehow "moved" it. I apologize if I am being repetitive.

In applying, under the education portion of your resume you would simply list yourself as having attended from whatever date you started there to the date you finished and put the word "graduate" or "graduate nurse" there. Also, if you recieved your Graduate Nurse permit from your school you can put GN behind your name, I believe.
If there was an October 1st deadline for applying at the facility you mentioned it is likely that position was for a January start date internship. I would call HR and ask if they hire new graduates direct to the floor or only through internships. If only through internships, ask when to be watching for the next round to post (usually for a June start date).
