So I am a 2009 grad and started working on my current Tele unit in June of 2010. I have just been hired into an ER which is my dream job. I begin that Feb 14. I have never really had to resign before. When should I let my current job know I am leaving? I'm hesitant to tell them now because I don't want to be out of work for a month. I don't know how long to wait because the new schedule will be out around Feb 1 and don't want to screw them either. I am so confused . Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you:)

The sooner the better if you know your start date, but a minimum of two weeks out of courtesy. Best to ask your HR dept. And make certain you do it in writing and keep a copy. Good luck with the new job.
