Requirements to become a nurse in the UK - from NZ

Hi there. I want to become a nurse in the UK once I have completed my degree programme here in New Zealand.

What are the requirements? My course is a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing). It is 3 years long, with 1500 clinical placement hourse. Do I have to work in New Zealand first, or can I be a new graduate coming straight out of University to the UK?

Any help would be appreciated...I really want to do this!! Thanks

You need 12 months work experience and will need to meet NMC requirements plus meet the shortage occupaction list to be able to find a employer and get a work permit.

Much has already been written about requirements for the UK suggest a good read. Plus in the last couple of days I have posted some links in a couple of threads re working in the UK and the NMC
