So I am a current nursing student enrolled in a RN-BSN program. I am currently writing a paper on comparing the Ohio board of nursing and the West Virginia board of nursing. I have having difficulty not starting every paragraph with either "The West Virginia board of nursing (2017)" or "The Ohio board of nursing (2017)". I also am having difficulty with my reference page. This is what I got ..

I agree with your formatting as it is consistent with the APA Style Guide to Electronic References (6th ed.), corporate author, government report uses the following format: Agency. (date). Retrieved from URL

Rather than starting each paragraph with Ohio/West Virginia Board of Nursingâ€ you might consider placing your source at the end of the sentence/paragraph in parentheses. If you do this, you can include the appropriate abbreviation in brackets (Ohio Board of Nursing [OH BON], 2017). And, technically, it is the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses, less formally referred to as the West Virginia RN Board.

I struggled with APA and all the formatting. I purchased PERRLA which is a plugin for MS Word. It's worth checking out if you plan on writing a lot of papers. It's helped me manage my time and correctly format my papers. I've been using it for years and I'm so glad that someone told me about it.
