Relocating to Florida

Hello, all

I will be relocating to Florida for a job in St. Petersburg. My husband will be working in Sarasota, so we are trying to find a place that is between the two cities, so our commutes aren't too crazy. We have a 2yo daughter, so we would like to be near good schools.

Any Floridians have any apartment searching advice? Such as good neighborhoods, where to steer clear of, etc.
