Relocating: Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, or Denver?

Hey guys,

I have been a nurse for 5 years and might relocate to Colorado in order to be closer to family. Would you pick Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, or Denver? I currently work in the neuro icu and would like to stay within the neuro realm but i am flexible. I am looking for good job prospects and safe area.

If you want to be closer to family, you should move to where they live. If they live in Fort Collins, moving to Colorado Springs, which is a 3 hours car ride away, isn't particularly close.

Additionally, a lot would depend on the type of environment you want to live in. If you want funky college town, move to Fort Collins. If you want urban, bustling, gritty in places, any amenity you would want at any time of the day or night, and ridiculous traffic jams during rush hour, move to Denver. If you want a conservative Christian community that feels more small town, move to Colorado Springs.

If you are asking me where *I* would move if given the choice - I lived in Denver for 7 years. I loved it, but if I were to move back, I would move to Fort Collins (or perhaps Longmont, which is also funky, but a smaller town, with a smaller town feel). As a liberal socialist atheist, I have no desire to live in Colorado Springs.

yeah where your family is plays a huge factor in those 3 places as they are 3 hours away from north to south. I personally could never live in C Springs, and No way on FoCo, too many students. I would much prefer a suburb to Denver but thats me.
