I have been an LPN for 6 years now. Here is my RN school story. I started my nursing journey in the summer of 2011 and got pregnant a few months later and failed a class in my first term. It was an online math class. I retook it and passed. I was doing great and got to the third term of my program and was taking four classes and was about to have my baby. Sadly I failed yet another class. I was dismissed due to the second class failure. I was devastated. I tried to get back in using my pregnancy as the reason. They denied me. I just decided to focus on my new family. So come the end of 2013 I was talking to a friend of mine who was going through the program. She said the college had made many changes and I should reapply. I did and started back last spring. I was able to retake my class I failed and kicked butt the rest of my program. I took my last final yesterday and found out today I passed. I get pinned Friday which is also mine and my son's birthday. :D I am so excited. Hope my story inspires you all to follow your dreams no matter how long they take to come true!

Hi how are you was thinking of relocating for Lpn to adn can you share your experience with the school you went to with me ? Are you thinking of taking there bsn program as well

Relocate for what? School or a job? I am not sure what you mean. I am not in school anymore. I graduated with my ADN over a year ago. I am working as an LPN now and still trying to get my RN license. I have no plans to move now, maybe in a few years. I do not plan to do BSN right now. I work for a homecare company now and they could care less if I have a BSN. I went to a non profit school and it was hard, but I made it. You have to study and find out what works best for you. That's as best I can answer your question.

I should have clarified how was hondoras for the adn I was thinking about moving out there and I was looking at the program.. Also do you know the current salary for an Lpn in or near Columbus

I thought Hondros was a decent program. It's very expensive and I know I will have debt, but I have a 4 year old with lots of disabilities and waiting to get into a program at one of the community colleges wasn't what I wanted. I know they changed the classes around right after I graduated so idk how they are now. Your best bet if you are really interested in going is to go to an information session or open house. That's what I did and it made my decision easier. You have to pass an exit ATI to graduate, so be prepared for that. And you can work just about anywhere. I don't plan to do a hospital job now because I love my homecare setting and as I stated in my last post they don't really care I just have an ADN. I wanna pay some school debt down, pass the NCLEX_RN and then get my BSN. I hope this helps and good luck to you :D
