Registered for Kaplan Classroom Anywhere ..........

Published

Okay ... Well I just registered for Kaplan Classroom Anywhere. It is for two weekends and can be done anywhere in the home. Has anyone taken the review with this method? If so please give some advice, pointers. I will start next weekend. I will do daily posts when I am registered and place information as I get it for all considering taking it.:)

Please do post about your experience for those who are considering this.

I did Kaplan online. It was nice! I liked it so much better than the live classroom setting. Just make sure you're in a quiet place that you can actually concentrate in. Oh, and take notes in a notebook or something.

I did Kaplan online as well. For me, I had been out of school quite a while & needed a content review. Kaplan online provided that through their videos, which you can watch whenever you have time. I used the book they provided & wrote notes in the margin (the video's kind of went in the same order as the book).

If you attend the actual Kaplan class, the time is spent learning their method of how to tackle the NCLEX & reviewing questions. Good luck to you!

Have a post-it note handy to cover up the chat box. Some people in class like to shout out (type out) the answers before others have had an opportunity to go through the question at their own pace. It can get a little frustrating. A post-it saves the day.

There are a few TA's available to answer questions during class. Utilize them! They are very smart and prompt. Make sure you tell them what question # you are seeking more information on.

Make sure you complete Phase One before beginning class. See page 25-26 in the Kaplan book.

Enjoy the cheesy elevator music they play before class starts and during the breaks. :)

Thanks for the advice. Do they send you a book? I have not received a book in the mail and class starts in two days .

Thanks Noyesno!

You provided lots of helpful information. Wish me luck!

The book come via UPS. You should be getting it soon. I think I got mine within 5 business days of paying for the class.

I hope it didn't stress you that I said make sure you complete Phase One before beginning class. You obviously can't do that because the book has yet to arrive. You can get caught up pretty easily.

i did Kaplan Live and Kaplan Classroom anywhere...i like the Classroom anywhere much better then the Live Class. I was able to concentrate more in the online class because for the whole time you will be using a headset, and no noise from your classmates can be heard, only the instructor, and you will not distract the instructor while he/she is discussing if you have a question because they have TA's, who are RN also, that are willing to help technically and and of course with the content proper...just throw them lots of questions so that u can learn more...the class is so cool...plus you can meet aspiring RNs all around USA...goodluck. i hope u ind the class good too...

if you havnt receive the book yet just ask the TA regarding that, they will really help you...

Took the first weekend of the online classroom anywhere. Its been tough and a lot of work. There are alot of questions and its alot of information. They provide you with alot of helpful information.I am definitely learning alot . They also sent me the RN Course Book that has the content that is most tested on the NCLEX in a review format. I would have to say the class is alot better that the RN Course Book they provide. I think that I will continue to use my Saunders Book as a Go TO to review content . Well guys back to my busy week. I will let you know how the next weekend goes!

Take advantage of the Lectures on Demand (located in the Toolbox). There are really good content reviews there. You can sit back and relax and follow along in the course book.

THANKS for the good advice it is like having a classroom in my bedroom at my pace! Im loving it :)
