I submitted on Monday September 30th for FNP, and received my interview request on 10/15. Had my phone interview on 10/16, and heard back on 10/31 via email.

I graduated with a 3.2 from Boston university with a bs in human physiology and a minor in public health. I have 2 years of emt experience, 4 years as an MA in primary care, and 6 months as a pediatric cardiology ekg technician intern. These experiences overlapped at various points.

gen chem: c+

Orgo chem: b

a and p1/2: a/a- *northeastern night school

stats: a-

micro: a- *northeastern night school

nutrition: a-
ethics: a-

lifespan: a *community college

i had LOC from a professor From northeastern, an NP/PCP with 15 years of experience. And an internist I’ve worked with for a year who is the medical director of a large practices clinical research department. We have been working together for the past year on implementing teaming in clinical practice in primary care which has peaked my interested and I wrote about in my Essays

for the past year I have also been caring for a terminally ill family member which has given me a real feeling for both the patient perspective and the role of nursing and I touched on that as well.

Thanks so much for the response. Just had my interview on Wednesday. How long did they give you to make a decision? I hope I have until the end of December to hear back from a couple more programs beforehand.

That’s so soon! I’m really hoping they do at least 2 week extensions or partial refunds if I don’t end up there. Hear back from some other programs end of December 😕

Hi guys!!!

I just received my email today for a phone interview. If you guys don’t mind me asking, what were some of the questions you were asked during the phone interview? I got denied last year (I never got a phone interview) but I am hoping what I did to prepare my self for this year has made a difference.

They asked me touch upon my healthcare experience and how that prepared me. Why Regis? What makes you think you can handle the courseload? Any questions for us?

If you don’t mind me asking, why Regis? The program is SO EXPENSIVE. Tuition is 143k alone. And no scholarships or anything.

I am from Boston, I applied to all of the accelerated MSN programs in the state. I would like to stay in Boston. I also applied to MGH and Northeastern. I been waitlisted last year from both schools.  I have taken pre requisites at Regis and I like the professors there. Also the campus is beautiful. I know that if I stay in Boston any Boston school will be able to provide me with a great preceptor hospital. I have no idea how I will pay for any school just yet. What about you what is your top school?
