Well, I wont be able to afford any of the classes here offered at the red cross and other places, out of budget.
Tech schools here full and wont start up again til summer ( gosh)
So, there's a business down the street who offers two day CNA training for 75 dollars, minus the clinicals. They prepare you for the state exam, and send you back home with a CNA DVD.
I want to know how much of the clinical portion of CNA training is on the exam, and since I wont be getting clinicals, how can I expect to "do my clinical"?
thanks

I think that you should consult your state's guidelines to find out if you are allowed to sit for the exam without clinical hours.
I recommend that you network with other people to find out if another CNA school is available. There are often private schools and ROP programs and lots of options. The key is just finding out if the programs are approved by your state to provide training.

I am pretty sure in most states you have to follow OBRA regulations to become a CNA which requires so many in class theory hours and clinical hours to even be able to take the state CNA Exam. You have to be signed off to take the exam after completing the training at least in California. I don't know about other states.. I wouldn't pay anyone money for training unless I was sure it was sufficient for the state. Sounds like a scam.
