Hello! I'm looking for a book that describes almost a day in the life of a neonatal nurse, kind of like a job description. If it still had good information that would be great too. Basically I'm almost looking for a handbook. If you want to answer a bonus question, here it is ;)- when you are put on a level of intensive care, do you rotate or stay on that level? Thanks!

There are various neonatal intensive books out there. Look on amazon for good deals. You will learn the bulk of it on the job. The problem with textbooks is that it goes in one ear and out the other. Its heavy reading and wont be understood until your out there doing the job.

My unit is a level 2 but at the moment ive been working on the lower dependency side to build up confidence and experience rather than a baptism of fire in ITU. I guess they will ease you in gently.
