Recommend Meridian Hospitals?

I'd like to hear of your experiences: good, bad, and ugly, with any of the Meredian hospitals.

I'll be a BSN graduate.

Hi!

I currently live in SC, but moved down from NJ after graduation last June. I worked for about 4 years as a PCA at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. I really enjoyed my time on 3 south, the ED and their critical care unit. The hospital has a community feel, but does everything except CABG's, traumas, and major peds.(They go to Jersey Shore Med ctr.) (You really get to know everyone there well, as its not too huge.) They have a great brand new ICU and ER, and have a pretty good orientation that I have heard of from nurses I worked with. I did 2 nurse externships, on on 3 South (Complex Care) which is basically a ICU stepdown floor, great for a new grad, where they do monitoring, postop, stable vents, peritoneal/hemodialysis, and the Critical Care Unit, which was great too. If I were to move back to NJ, I would definitely go back to work for Meridian at Riverview. I currently work in a Level III NICU in Spartanburg, SC, soon to transfer to our 80 bed Level I Trauma ER. I'm so excited!

Thank you, Steve, for responding. I appreciate your input!

I wish you the best of luck. And I'm somewhat familiar with Spartanburg, as I lived in Greenville for a time!

:balloons: :welcome: Hello, I currently work at Meridian Health , Ocean Medical Center(brick hosp). I started out in Pt. Pleasant Hospital . I have no complaints about the hospital or hospital system. I am in the process of relocating myself to North Carolina. I have mixed feelings about leaving the hospital system because they have made me feel at home. The Meridian Hospitals all bring their very unique way of providing excellend care to the community; they are all individually connected in very unique ways to each of their perspective comunities . I would recommend working for Meridian .

Thank you for the recommendation, Harriet. I wish you much success in your relocation, also!
