:redbeatheCONGRATS! You will love this program! The staff is wonderful and is there to help you succeed. Use their office hrs for any questions/ concerns. I was so nervous to start NS and it has been so much fun - met lots of great ppl and you will too. My lil nuggets of wisdom: the key to success is time mgmt.; never change an answer (look for cue words and avoid reading into the question); get an NCLEX book (I have Saunders) to get you into the mind frame of a nurse and understanding the rationale and always review your tests. AND TAKE IT ONE TEST AT A TIME! Good Luck! You will do awesome!

I am still WAITING! I went on Dec. 17th and I know my chances are slim but I'm still holding out hope. I'm praying that enough people postpone that it'll happen:bowingpur. I was told they have went through some people on the first list for Dec. 17th and I am on the middle of the second. I was laid off a few months ago and the timing would be absolutely perfect. I would be able to get my first rotation under my belt and be eligible to then work in a hospital before my unemployment runs out. It's probably too good to be true huh? :crying2:

Oh sorry, CONGRATULATIONS to you:clown: I got a little caught up in myself didn't I?

Thanks for giving me hope! I have one class left to take and then I can get on the list (well after I take the NET too) I should be on the list in December, so I'm hoping I'll be starting next fall like you. Or at the latest, Winter 2010. I'm so glad I found out that HFCC had a waitlist. I was so depressed because of Baker but not anymore! I will be a Nurse one day, thanks to HFCC!

Good luck and just an FYI; I have heard that they put another extension on the unemployment collecting, my bro is a plumber and things have been real bad for him this year and I think he likes dragging it our if you ask me, no really good luck!!

take your net now!!!! I will send you a private msg seince we are not suppose to state peoples names and contact info so you can get a web site that lets you practice all the math for the net and theres a part for the reading! If you do it ASAP you have a better chance at fall 09'!!!

Just wanted to shed a little light on the HFCC wait list, I took my NET on Nov.5th, 2007 and just today recieved my congrats letter for fall! I was SURE I wouldnt be starting untill maybe the winter but guess not. Info meeting is on Monday and registration is on Wednesday! Good luck and Ill be crossing my fingers for everyone else still stalking the mailman:mad:!!

I also got my letter this week and I was put on the waiting list mid-December (15th?). I was told expect the winter semester so imagine the words that came out of my mouth when I checked the mail...lol
