Published

to those who just took the nclex rn exam recently or remember much from it (as i'm sure most of it is a blur), but were there any specific topics that you feel were mentioned a few times or certain math questions that were asked...i'm not asking for specific questions as i know that is not allowed but rather topics...ex i heard that addisons disease and cushings syndrome come up a bit...is there anything else you guys noticed?

all information will be greatly apprectiated. i have 7 days to go and my panic level is on the rise.

hi!! i think 2-3 cushing syndromes and yea addisons disease, 1-2 lyme disease, actually no DM, and myocardial infarction..which i focused on studying:angryfire. good thing not much of SATA,well u can never tell different sets of Q's to every test takers..just try to relax and focus on every Q's as lots of them are tricky one's.. goodluck to u, ur gona make it!!!:wink2:

thanks j0877 - going to brush up on the lyme disease right now :)

Each exam is going to be different, what one person had on theirs has nothing to do with what you will see on yours. Questions are assigned based on how you answer the previous question.

You need to prepare in order that you are ready for any topic that is given to you.

Best of luck on your exam.

yeah def. thanks suzanne. i'm trying to go over as many topics as possible especially the big ones but it never hurts to try to see if there is something i missed that maybe someone remembers from their nclex that i can brush up on...just like lyme disease..living in southern california you forget about stuff like that and i dont ever remember going through it in nursing school....

but thank you again for the luck! :D

the only one what i did not know is red men syndrom.

Hi ,

I am havinga problem doing this math question, I really would like to learn how to figure this out in steps ,Can anyone who really knows math help me please.. Here is an example,,thanks..

Got this from a book but doesnt actually show you how to do the steps to get the answer..

The nusre is careing for PT who has a pres, for dopamine, drip for 5mcg/kg/min

The pt weights 200 lbs, the nurse has on hand 400 mg per 500ml d5w avail. How many milliliters should the nurse admin to the pt each hr?

the answer was 34ml..but have no idea how they got it.. any help would be appreciated.......................

hmm..

i think after nclex exam, it was clearly stated that your not allowed to discuss about the exam itself.. that includes the questions and topics..

you'd definitely get in trouble if you don't stick with the rules.. :)

by now you've got 6 days to go before the exam.. its best not to study by this time..

try doing this instead.. :tbsk: relax.. :)

good luck!

Take the patient's weight and convert it to kg as a start. How many mg will be in each ml of IV fluid that is in the bag?

See if you can figure it out from here.

this is actually when i do my best studying. i work the best under pressure. believe me i know this isn't just a normal test, ive been preparing for a while now but i'm just trying to brush up on topics i might have missed thus far as well as meds...

so as to not get anyone in trouble i shall restate my question....not asking for exact questions but what are some topics you guys feel are often looked over but might be on the test?

all answers are appreciated :yeah:
