Well i am a second year pre nursing student and i really dont know if nursing is for me. To be honest for me as of right now i dont see nursing as a passion. I also would not be in it for the money. I have recieved my CNA and have worked with patients. I am a very shy person but with patients i tend to be comfortable. I just dont know if nursing is the right path for me. My favorite classes have been anatomy and physiology, chemistry. I like using memorization techniques and seeing how things fit together. I know for sure that iwant to do something in the medical field with science but i really dont know what. I was contemplating physican assistant because i believe that i would like seeing patients, and giving a diagnosis, ordering tests etc. I was also considering physical therapist. The only problem is that the hospital that i called does not let people shadow these professions due to liability reasons. I feel like i really need to see what these people do and what their jobs really entail. I wanted to have somewhat of an ideal before nursing school next yr.

Contact a physician's office to shadow a PA. Contact physical therapy at your place of work to shadow the PTs. If you work outside of the hospital it is OK, the PTs work with patients inside and outside in a similar fashion.
