Good morning everyone,
I am an LVN, and we hired an RN last year to be the Credentialed School Nurse. This year they made her sign a contract and she is signing everything as the Contract Nurse. I don't care what ever she wants to call her position...but legally IS SHE the Credentialed School Nurse? The health aide is even saying dont call her the school nurse she is just contracted to do screenings now. HUH?

Well, if she in fact, is contracted for a specified task she is not the "Credentialed" nurse for the district. If she is contracted to perform the duties of a RN as it applies to the school district then she is the "credentialed" nurse; regardless of if she signs a paper with "contract" behind her name or not. She might well add "mazda driver" to the signature.
