Hi all. I was reminded of this pet peeve by the title of another topic on the site.
Has everyone heard at least once (usually in school or in a training) "there's no such thing as a stupid question"?
I BEG TO DIFFER.
What are some of the more stupid questions you've been around for when they've been asked?

Hmm...I can't think of any. I'm sure there are some I could think of!

I've actually asked one, about 10 years ago (after almost 20 yrs in the OR). Wasn't really thinking, surgery for abdominal hyst had started and I was finally able to tend to my charting. Preop diagnosis was dysmenorrhea and undesired fertility. Wrote that down, then asked "oh, are we tying her tubes too? ". Duh. Surgeon chuckled then said "yeah, as soon as I get her uterus out"
