what was the ratio of girls to guys in your nursing school class?

Published

Was it mainly girls, with one or 2 guys?

In a class of 28, we have 5 guys.. Me included.

It's really never been an issue though. In OB rotations, I had a few laboring mothers that didn't want a man in the room, but other than that--it's been great and lots of fun!

Specializes in ICU-ED.

Mine was mostly girls with maybe 3 guys total! It doesn't matter though Guys in nursing are definitely on the rise! Ify you want to be a nurse you should!!

my cohort has 42people total...10 of us are guys....I'm finishing my OB rotation and have just about seen it all....so far no moms have refused to have me in their room just because I'm a guy....

Out of 46 we have three guys... including myself...

We started with 8 men and down to 5 with 44 total students graduating this December (woohoo!).

One to grades, one to family issues, one to health. One of the 5 actually was admitted the semester before but began with us due to family issues (new baby).

My graduating class of 26 included 3 guys.

Class of 25, I was one of 3 guys .... I still see several former classmates regularly at work (hospital has their own LPN school, most of us now work there:smokin:

Class of 77 out of the beginning class i'd estimate 15 guys.

I believe 55 graduated with 9 guys left.

Started first year with 6 guys 89 girls..Starting 2nd year with 1 guy 57 girls..

Out of my class of 66, 3 were men.

In my ICU where I work, 1/5th of the nurses are male.

Started off with one boy out of 50. He dropped out after the first semester, so 0 guys in my graduating class.
