Hi,
I am looking to apply to the Accelerated BSN nursing program at the Overland Park, KS location. It seems to be a newer program in this area and there isn't much info online. Has anyone applied or currently in this program? What are your thoughts?
I realize it is a for profit college and very expensive (which are cons). However, it has the least amount of prerequisites. I would have to take one full year of random classes/labs to meet the minimum at other colleges. I took most of my science classes at UMKC. Unfortunately, I didn't take some that were necessary for nursing like nutrition, human development, etc.
So, I was just hoping for some insight regarding Rasmussen college, its professors, and clinicals?
Thanks.
Here are some of the clinical sites for the Rasmussen OP college that I got from an advisor:
The VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, Centerpoint Medical Center Independence, MO, Center for Behavioral Medicine and Brookdale Senior Living
Most of the clinical sites are out of town, or they are smaller facilities but that is to be expected. There are so many nursing colleges and universities in KC with a long history with their respective hospitals. So, I'm sure the spots are taken.
