Not sure if not from EU whether radiology tech will qualify to work, a lot of hospitals at the moment are going through financial difficulties and cutting back on jobs so you may not get a work permit also I would image they would want someone with experience

I just finished nurse high school and i plan to go to radiology technician studying and i want immediatelly after school to go somewhere and i am interested in UK,but i know that almost every country searching for experience and dont want fresh graduated imigrants.Maybe any other country have that posibility?UAE or some else, where i could get job?

You are not understanding what we are telling you. As an RN, and new grad, there is not an issue with getting a job, even in the US, once you pass the exams. With the RT, it will not be near as easy.

If you are asking for advice, this is what we are trying to tell you.

Ok i undestand and i told already that i know its hard to get visa but i want to know than how much can i earn as radiology technician so i could decide is it could to start with visa and job process

Salaries are going to vary widely. There is not one thing that you can do about job and visa until you have completed the program. The visa is employer related if you are doing your training out of the US. Same goes for other countries as well.

And if it is to do your training in another country, you do not get the visa first, you must file papers with immigration from the program that accepts you.

And since this is an RN bulletin board, we are very familiar with the requirements of nurses to work overseas, x-ray techs fall under some different requirements, and are not fast-tracked to many countries.

This is what we keep trying to explain to you.

here are the pay bands in the nhs

from what i gather it says you could start in band 5 and go upto band 8 depending on experience and your post if you work within the NHS in UK

I think the problem will be that you won't have experience and that there will be not the jobs available. I know in all the years I worked in hospitals I never saw that many jobs advertised for work in radiology, plus may take you years to go through immigration process as you need a job offer first before you can apply for a work permit. Plus a lot of jobs are being lost within the health service at the moment and may take a few years to rectify (me being ever the optomistic)

Also what Suzanne is trying to say is this is a forum aimed at nurses and nurse students

Good luck and I hope you find what you want.

There are many fewer positions for x-ray techs than there are for RNs. Think about it. The jobs are going to first go to a UK citizen, there are some that are even being down-sized at the moment. And are looking for work in the that area. NHS is changing quite a bit right now.

It will take you probably about a year to get your certifications, etc. done before you will be able to work in the UK as an x-ray tech. You will need to go thru all of their testing. So it will be very hard to go there without experience.

I want everyone to be able to make an informed decision, and there are many factors that you need to take into account. The UK also has certian other restrictions in place that amy affect what you wish to do. Even to go to RN school in the US, you must be a resident there for at least three years.

If you are determined to work in another country, and not have to deal with much red tape as far as getting a job, please take into consideration what we are telling you.

And remember that this is a nursing forum, x-ray tech. is a completely separate field with completely different training.

And even if you wished to work in the US, it would take you about 5 years to get a green card, and your salary up to then would not be the same as an American. With temporary work permits, the company does not have to pay you the same as an American.

OK i undestand so i need to have experience to get more chances to find job,but where to get that experience,do you probably have any country on mind where i could have chance to get job.Maybe UAE?

And i also have finished 4 years nurse school:) and i am still your collegue, even if i am asking about radiology
