"Registered Nurse - RN File #" on Breeze...what does this mean?

Published

Ok guys, I took my exam on Monday and now its Wednesday evening and I do not see my name on the license search. When I logged into my Breeze account, it says under manage your application "registered nurse - RN file #" and so does this mean anything?

Also, on my pearson account, it says the following "You do not have any exams that can be scheduled at this time." Just wanted to know what this mean as well.

I am pretty convinced that I failed....went through all 265 questions and I am pretty sure (like 100% sure) that I didn't get the last question right. I am avoiding the pearson vue trick because 1. I strongly believe I failed and 2. i will find out anyway once I have to schedule another exam. I am just waiting on a final confirmation letter in the mail soon so that I can just finalize this and move on. I just wanted an explanation to what these mean on my accounts, if they even have any significance to them.

After taking a little break, I'm thinking about studying with the Saunders book. I tried Kaplan but I do not think Kaplan helped me. Do you guys have any other resources that truly helped?

Thanks!

Also, another question. On my pearson account, it also says that the result are not available and I just wanted a confirmation if that meant its not available for the quick results purchase since I took my exam in California and California doesn't participate in this or does it really mean my results are not yet in?

I have so many questions and I just need closure so any response would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since you are in California, that's exactly the meaning. There are a few states that do not participate in Quick Results and PV knows this, so their system inhibits the QR setting for your file and therefore the results are not available to you. I passed and I had the same statement for quite a while after my exam. I happened to receive my results within 36 hours (RN license # showed up on BreEZe) and the same occurred for a classmate of mine that took the exam at the same time I did.

As for this quote:

"You do not have any exams that can be scheduled at this time."

As far as I can figure, PV hasn't received payment for another exam so it won't allow you to schedule one. It's not part of the PVT and basically means nothing as far as pass/fail is concerned at this point.

As to this:

I don't recall seeing that during the time between taking the exam and being licensed. It was just that long ago that I do not recall exactly "stuff" other than my IP was on my screen. What I do recall is that when they were actively working on my file, they cancelled my IP and about 15 minutes later I was an RN. If you have an IP and it's been cancelled and you do not currently have an RN license#, that may be an indication of failure of the NCLEX.

No matter the outcome.

I just want to say, you did your best and I am super proud of you!

I understand your feelings and what you must be going through. I take my NCELX tomorrow for the second time. I graduated June 2018. Took it first time in Nov 2018. Failed it. Went into depression for awhile and finally tomorrow I am taking it.

I tried MK audios, uworld, Nclex mastery. Yet it wasn't enough. Now I think back to it... my mind wasn't really there to absorb content. I took awhile to take my test because I had family, money issues, personal health problems. SO much was going on my mind was "mumble jumble."

After 1st NCLEX attempt, I used that time to get my health on track, focus on my goals, self evaluated me, and revamped my study habits.

Taking questions everyday and taking notes from UWORLD rationales didn't work for me. I wasn't getting the big picture. And I didn't know how to connect the dots of nursing content. My weakness was content.

I bought Saunders and did UWORLD again. Separated the topics in maternal, peds, adult med surg cardiac, respiratory, etc. When I finished content on maternity, I ONLY did UWORLD questions on maternity. Then I would go through the rationales. Look over the topics or condition that I didn't grasp.

( I know. People say don't do it because NCLEX is going to give us random questions from different systems. Do I care? No because I told myself, that this is probably what's going to work for me and it did.)

Next, I used Sarah Registered Nurse RN. She was the silver-lining that helped me connect the nursing content. I hope you try her page. Trust me. You just have to find a study method that helps you put the content together so you can see the bigger picture. I believe you CAN DO IT.
