"I don't know who to vote for?"

I vote Libertarian or indepen. People say that that is wasting your vote. But I dont believe it. If you vote and vote your conscious it is never a wasted vote.

Look at the track records of both. Look at who the people and the Electoral College put in office. It for the most part is not the Democrats.....Fact is my friend is that you must vote with the information you have and your heart........

As an informed voter, you really should look at more than their campaign commercials. I'd look at the voting record of each candidate, as a minimum.

Hell, look at the performance of the Bush administration. Do you support that? Oppose it? What is important to you?

There's a new spot taking Bush to task for ignoring the needs of AMERICANS while pursuing fame and fortune in the Middle Eastern desert. That one points up some of the issues he's completely blown off, like jobs and improving access to health care for the 40+ million Americans who are uninsured.

Now, I don't decide who to vote for by the ads, but this one, which ends with "Shouldn't Bush make AMERICA a top priority?" gets to the point with minimal B.S.

Then again, I'm not sure I want Bush to turn his attention homeward......everytime he does, we get things like the overtime bill, or the mess with Medicare, or more ridiculous hoops to jump through at the airport. :stone

It's all good advice here. The only one who can decide is the person voting. Get as much information as you can, and make the best choice you can.

But do vote.

I honestly haven't voted since I was 18. :chair: So far I think thats what has saved me from jury duty.

There was a website that would give you a bunch of multiple choice questions dealing with how you felt about certain issues. When it graded your test it showed which candidates most closely matched your answers.

That's nothing, I haven't voted yet. I'm not a citizen yet (and that got me out of jury duty twice ), but I'm working on changing that before the next election. I'm determind to vote this time. :saint:

:stone The "Bush" commercial says that Kerry is against things that would help our military heroes. The "Kerry" commercial says that Kerry has a purple heart and wants to help our military heroes. Which candidate do you think will help our military men and women the most? Thank you.

The "Bush" commercial is accurate in that Kerry did vote against many of the weapons that our troops are using today, also Kerry voted against the funding for the Iraq War, some people might say that Kerry voted against the funding because he wanted to know how we were going to pay for it.

Kerry has his own commercial that shows staged footage of himself carrying an M-16 (something like that) during the Vietnam war, and the commercial also mentions his medals..etc. Some people don't think it's important to have a war hero in office, that's up to the individual voter. Former Pres Clinton never served in the military and many people thought he was an excellent President, he served 2 terms.

I usually don't rely on promises made during campaigns because they are basically promises and candidates sometimes know what the people want to hear. I would suggest researching facts of the candidates, voting records, congressional quotes etc..

Who will help our troops the most? I don't know the answer to that. Kerry wants to send more troops to Iraq if elected, but we also need to fund those troops. President Bush took a huge risk by going to Iraq IMO, this has never been done before, overthrowing a dictator and setting up a new government for the people. It's mind boggling. I do hope that whoever wins in November will continue to complete the plan for Iraq and bring our troops home swiftly. :)
