Quitting job to go back to school

Published

For a couple of years, I have been thinking about changing careers from childcare to healthcare. And last yr, I finally did it by applying and attending CNA school and I love. By last summer, I accepted a job at a local hospital as a PCT working the night shift shift. Throughout the interview, I expressed that I wanted to go back to go back to school for nursing. So, in January I had reached 6 months and I begin applying for LPN programs around my area. The only problem is that the school times conflict with my worl. For example, the full-time program is Monday-Friday (8am-4 pm). And the part-time program is 6-10 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays(7 am-5 pm)and I work 11 pm -7:30 am and I do not have a car. So, I would be able to make it to work or school on either times. I guess I am caught up in a dilemma. Should I leave my job to go back to school? I love being a tech but I really would like to become a LPN. Btw, I have another part-time job-childcare related as well as two job offers as a weekend CNA (EOW).

In addition, I have asked my manager if I could loose a day and she said no.
