Quickest route to Nursing Ed or LPN

Published

I am a mid-life career changer, and would like ultimately to go into nursing education or to be an nurse Practitioner (NOT an LPN, that was a typo!) , but I have NO background in nursing. would I be better off (a) getting a BS in nirsing, perhaps via an accelerated second degree program, then work a few years, then go back to school or (b) get an associates degree, start working asap, and try to find an employer-sponsored program to get an advanced degree of © some other option I don't yet know about

Thanks!

what I would do if I had to choose on a new starting career in nursing is go do an LPN Program and see how that is working for me for about a one year or two then, I would do a bridge from LPN to BSN and take it from their....Good Luck

I've thought about that, but don't LPNs make alot less $$? I have volunteered at a hospital on a gen. med ward, and did hospice care for my father, so I have some idea what the work entails. I am trying to minimize the amount of time I have no or low income (have debts to pay)
