Questions about $, subacute facility, and NCLEX-RN

Published

Hi all! Any new grads working in the Boston area? Where are you working? What's the starting salary? Anyone working in a subacute facility? What is it like? Would you recommend it over working in a hospital?

I graduated in May 2004. I'm studying for the NCLEX...I'm writing it for the third time in early November. Was your secret in passing the NCLEX? What study material did you use?

Thank you for your attention! Please reply with any answers to my questions. I really appreciate any type of help! THANK!

I don't work in the boston area and I have never worked in a sub acute care facility so I can't help you there. Wanted to offer some help with NCLEX review. You probably already have the Kaplan review book but if you don't then get it. Those questions were the closest to NCLEX that I ever studied out of any of the other books. Another thing that I would do is while you are answering questions if you get a question wrong write the topic of the question on another sheet of paper and then you can review that info later. I don't know if that is what helped me but anyway I passed so maybe it did.

Another book that I like is The Princeton Review's Cracking the NCLEX-RN. It is in a workbook format and has review material as well as questions. Good luck.
