Questions about RN positions, please help!

Hi!

I just started to apply for a job... I have 6 yrs experience outside the US so...this job hunting thing is different. I've came upon a few things that I am not sure what they mean:

FT 0.9 ... what's 0.9??

FT/72 hours ... 72 hours?!!

Oh, and ... when it says "contract" in job type...what does that exaclty mean?

0.9 = 3x a week, 12 hour shifts.

I am ASSUMING 72 hours/FT = per pay period... or 36 hours a week. Same as above. :)
