Does anyone know how the clinicals are set up at Clayton State University, Georgia State or Mercer? Like are the clinicals 12-hour or 6-hour shifts. how many days are the 12-or 6 hour shifts and what times. I am trying to get an idea what to expect because I want to plan early because I have small children? Any advice would be great How did any parents with small children handling making sure children was situated and going to a 6:00 am clinical?
Thanks

I don't know about your specific school but school out here in the midwest most of them have daycare at the school. They were there early enough for the nursing student to be able to drop the kids off and get to clinicals on time. You might look into it.
Thanks for your response!!!
Daycare at the school seems great!! I wish more schools would do that:) I am trying to get an idea of what time clinicals typical are and does nursing schools require 2 12 hour shifts per week clinical because that seems like alot?

Have you called the schools' nursing dept's? I know some schools act so hush, hush about some things, but maybe they'll disclose that information.
As for myself, thank God my hubby and I own our own business. I told him he has to set his hours around mine.
Good luck to you. :)
Yes I did contact the school but they so vague. They act as if they were unsure.
Typical.
Maybe it's different times with different hospitals & different semesters. Geeze......look for a 24/7 babysitter. :uhoh21: Whew!
Again....good luck!
