SATA: select all that apply or applies. That means there are 1 or more correct answers and you need to select all the correct answers for full credit.
And yes, a SATA can have only 1 correct answer: it's not very common but it can and does happen. Most SATAs have at least 2 though; I think average is about 2-3. Some SATA will have all choices as being correct and you need to chose them all.
When tackling these questions, find all the correct answers--don't worry about how many you find at the end, just find them!
For example a question would ask something like this:
What are some reportable signs and symptoms of elderly abuse: (Select all that apply)
1). The patient has unexplained bruises on her body
2). The patient states that her daughter handles all of finances
3). The patient says she is always tired
4). The patient has a history of smoking
5). The patient has not been able to fill her medication because her daughter feels it is a waste of money.

Are you a "safe" nurse?? Is your focus on the patient and getting the best outcome for him/her?? Have you brushed up on infection control, ie standard, airborne, droplet, and contact precaution?? Have you practiced prioritizing care questions...do you understand delegation of duties?? Do you remember Maslows, the ABCs, etc??
All you need is self confidence. Go for it as scheduled and don't be afraid. Never forget your test taking skills, remember your ABC's, how to prioritize and patient safety. Also go with your instinct and don't change your answers unless your are certain of your decision.
Do as many questions as you can and go over all of your rationales.

Your Kaplan scores look great! Just keep aiming above 60% on your qbank questions. Make sure you do at least 150 questions per day. Doing questions everyday helped me get comfortable in answering nclex style questions. So when it was time for me to sit for the NCLEX I was calm and felt comfortable because it felt like it was just taking another kaplan exam. Make sure you do the sample tests in the qbank. Sample test 4 is all alternative style questions (Mostly SATA with a few drag and drop). I am really bad at SATA and I had a good chunk on the nclex. Stopped at 75 and got the good pop up. I used "true or false" technique to answer the SATA. If you have any other questions don't be afraid to pm me. You can do it. Go in calm and confident in yourself:) Good luck!
Also, there is a really good study guide someone posted in a separate thread. It's 35 pages and just skimming it twice saved me so many times on the nclex, especially on isolation precaution questions. :)

Your Kaplan scores look great! I just took the test on the 11th and passed! I used Kaplan and hurst reviews to study. i found Kaplans Select all that apply harder than NCLEXs. I think Hurst review helped me a lot with the core content. heres my Kaplan scores:
QT #1 - 50% ( retook 3 weeks later- 68% )
QT #2 - 63%
QT #3 - 52% ( retook 3 weeks later- 64% )
QT #4 - 64%
QT #5 - 62%
QT #6 - 64%
QT #7 - 64%
Diagnostic: 58%
Readiness: 66%
Qbank scores were 50%-86% ( Average of 65% with 100% Qbank completed )
Your scores look great! Goodluck, You got this!!

Do multiple response items have less than 3 correct responses?Multiple response items are described as having five or six options with a minimum of two correct (key) options. Items contain the statement "Select all that apply"
