HI THERE,
I am an Aussie trained ICU registered nurse whom is sitting the CRNE feb 2009. Apart from Geneva Health and Health Staff Professionals, does any one know any other nursing agencies that would assist in finding employment in Vancouver, BC.
Also, do most hospitals accept applications from nurses practising as 'Supervised Temporary Registered Nurses' to work whilst they wait to sit their exam and whilst they wait for their exam results? Or are most internationally educated nurses pretty much jobless until after the CRNE? Thank you all. :loveya::loveya:

Welcome.
Not sure why you want an agency when you could contact the hospitals yourself

i'm an rn in vancouver but currently in the us preparing for the nclex. you might want to contact the college of registered nurses in bc
www.crnbc.ca about ability to work.
i agree with the above poster, contact employers directly. i work for the fraser health authority, do a google search, they are always looking for nurses.

hi!!
i'm from the philippines & i'm planning to apply in BC as a nurse (a graduate nurse actually...)...
i'd like to ask how i could contact an employer and actually get a response. i've seen fraser's and providence's ads, but i'm not so sure. someone told me that i could directly contact these employers. i just don't know how. also there are so many agencies here, i'm not sure if i can trust them...i hope you can help me...thanks a lot!!!
hey all thanks for your responses!
I found a useful website that recruits on behalf of all the major B.C health organisations (providence, fraser, provincial and vancouver coastal)
http://www.nursevancouver.com/
I would send a CV/resume to the HR department and then follow up with a phone call.
hi lilmisswongy,
thanks a lot for your help!!!!

nurse vancouver replied to my email. They told me that I first have to be deemed eligible by CRNBC. Once that is so, they will entertain my application. :) Hope this helps!
hi davkelnice,
thank you very much...
that's actually my next plan, but i am still waiting for my license to be released here....
again, thank you!!!!
NO prob! :)
thanks for letting us know davkelnice!
I applied with www.nursevancouver.com
I have received notice of eligibility with crnbc thankfully.
an automated from nursevancouver I received , after I processed my application, said that it would take one to two weeks to hear from a recruiter due to the large number of applicants (apparently 600 of them)
