all 265 questions...can i still pass?

Published

Hi, I just took my NCLEX this morning at 8am. I thought i was so prepared this morning i woke up so nervous, but i still tried to remain confident walking into the test. once it started i felt like i knew NOTHING! as i was going along i was praying it would not turn off at 75 because i knew nothing...guess what it didn't! after 100 questions i basically blacked out...i refused to take a break because i just wanted the test to be over...i did 265 questions in 3 hours. I barely got any Select all that apply, but did get a lot of priority questions. I am so upset, is there any chance i passed??

thanks

I passed at 265. I was 100% sure I failed walking out of there but it will all depend where you end up above or below the line. The system could not with 95% confidence tell if you were competent or not. And I've heard that getting the SATA is a farce on whether you are doing well or not. Try to relax until your results are in. I know it is easier said that done. Good luck.

thank you so much! a lot easier said then done but i will try...hope that i will get good news soon!

Yes, people pass all the time with 265. I did, and was also sure walking out that I had failed.

all you have to do is search the topic and you will find tons of threads with the same question. I had 265 questions the first time and failed, had it again the last time and passed, it can go either way.

I know someone who passed with 265. I just passed with 186 questions (I was freaking out over the odd number and the number of questions). I also had a lot of priority questions. Right now, you've done all you can do. It's out of your hands, so spend some time with your friends and spoil yourself (I bought a starbucks latte).

i tried the pearson vue trick and it went through and it says registration acknowledged...be honest did i fail??

p.s. it still says results not available..

p.s. it still says results not available..

The message is referring to the fact that Quick Results is not available to you at this time. They aren't available to anyone until about 48 hours after you complete the exam; you pay eight bucks for the official results. If you're in a State that does not participate in QR, it will ALWAYS be unavailable.

You did the PVT far too early for it to mean much of anything, other than you are losing your mind at the moment worrying about it. A QA review of your exam will confirm a pass or fail, and that happens at some point in the 24 hours following the exam. You didn't give it enough time to get to that point, so the PVT 'indication' you got was based on your initial score. If it allowed you to pay for another exam....in all likelihood you failed. But, as has been demonstrated on this board countless times....you might still have passed. No way for you to know at this point.

If your State participates in QR, pay the fee after 48 hours and be done with it.

Hi lizzard13, I passed with 265 questions. with 30 SATA, 15 EKG, 2 CALCULATIONS AND prioritization delegation and assignment. jUST relax!!

Maybe. You shall find out though!

I passed with 265 questions. The number doesn't determine if you passed/failed. Good luck!
