Hey everyone, I'm basically the "new kid on the block" especially to the allnurses.com forums. But could anyone kindly guide me to any threads (if any thread already existed) about the type of courses one should take readying to enter upon their first collegiate year...
A good friend of mine who is entering the doctoral world advised me that I should stack up on biology, anatomy, and physiology. This seems to be very logical as Doctors and Nurses go hand in hand, however I would like advice straight from the horse's mouth so to speak, or from experienced nurses such as I see from reading these boards.
Specifically, I would like to ask for some advice on courses that can possibly create an advantage in favor of someone pursuing a career in nursing. Any tricks of the trade, "must-have courses," and in general just a push in the right direction without having any fear of error or regret.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Rodil,
Moved your post to the Nursing Career Advice Forum so that you get more responses. Do you have a certain school in mind?
Ah thank you Eric, I thought I placed my question in the wrong part of the forums lol.
But in regards with your question, that is also another question I had because I am moving to the Philippines in March, therefore I did a search on what schools are good for nursing there as well and I stumbled upon allnurses.com. However, the thread about schools in the Philippines was just primarily second coursers or for nurses already with degrees and such...
The school I had in mind to go to was Ateneo de Manila actually. I believe Ateneo doesn't specialize in nursing though, but being 18 and in need of a greater education, Ateneo is not a bad place to go for that at all... I would just like to get some tips or advice on courses and on how to go about acquiring the degrees necessary to become employed/aid others through the nursing profession.
