I have a question about platelet transfusions that I have not been able to find in my books. Is it necessary for platelets to be ABO compatible, and can they be given if the ABO group does not match?? I think that they don't have to be, but when your a student it seems like you can always talk yourself into a different answer. I appreciate anyones help! 0 Likes
