Question for midnight nurses...when does your weekend start?

Our floor is switching to 12 hours, so my current 8 hour afternoon position is being eliminated. I’m going to switch to 12 hour midnights, but I was surprised to find out that the weekend (on our unit) is considered starting at 7pm on Saturday through 7:30am Monday. Every other unit in the hospital starts on 7pm Friday and ends on Sunday 7:30am. I also found out that our weekend differential starts at 2300 on Friday and ends 2300 on Sunday. So I’m trying to get an idea of what everyone else does.

Weekend is 2300 Friday through 0700 Monday. Weekend shift differential only paid during those hours. Shift differential on top of that.
