Question about methotrexate

My husband is about to start on methotrexate, orally, for RA. I read the brochure which stated that if I were of child bearing age he should wear a condom during sex. Well I'm beyond child bearing, however, I'm a little concerned about methotrexate in semen. Should he wear a condom or does it not matter? I don't want to be in contact with the methotrexate, or am I being overly concerned? Thanks

I hope your husband finds relief with the methotrexate. However as per the Terms of Service we cannot offer medical advice. This is best answered by your PCP or Ob/Gyn
