I'm trying to find out if anyone knows of or has attended an LPN course at any institution in South Florida that only meets two days a week or, preferably, two nights a week. Thanks.

I don't think that exists or I have never heard of any programs like that. Most either meets 4 or 5 days a week.
That's pretty much what I suspected. Time to look into online training.
But thanks for responding.

double check the BON website but I do believe there are no accepted online LPN programs, and very few LPN to RN programs are accepted now as well. while the LPN is 10-12 mos depending on campus, they were in class/clinicals alot more than I was during my 2 year RN program, you may want to consider just shooting for RN
Wow....rain on my parade. I could have sworn I've seen lots of online schools offering LPN courses. I always thought studying and working as an LPN first would make it easier to eventually study to be an RN but if online training for an LPN is so dismal you've given me something to consider.
Just because they are offered, doesn't mean the state of FL will allow you to sit boards, many times they "forget" to tell students that and ALOT of money is flushed down the drain, most times also these online schools are actually out of state.
There is one program that I know off in St. Petersburg, FL next to Tampa. It is at Pinellas Tech see http://www.myptec.org . They have a pilot program for their LPN that is online. I think that it starts up again in March next year. Of the 1350hrs required, I believe that 550 are done online (don't quote me on this). This is the only program of its kind that I have seen offered in Central/West and Southern FL.
I also know that Miami-Dade community college offers an evening LPN class from 4:30 or 5:30 to 10pm. Hope this helps. Look into the program at Pinellas Tech, St. Petersburg, FL
