Hello!
After I graduate and get my nursing license in Las vegas i planned on moving to chicago illinois. Do I need to retake the NCLEX in that state?? Is there a way to just transfer your license to another state?? Thanks!

No, you do not have to take the NCLEX again...Check the BON and you will be directed as to what to do.
ok great thank you!

If you are planning to move to IL right after graduation, you can ask that your NCLEX results be sent to the BON in IL so you can get your license sooner for IL....that is, if you are not planning to work in NV first. It took about 4-6 weeks after submitting to get my license, and you cannot work in patient care without a license.
well i'm kind of worried that i will have a problem finding a job right after school from what others have posted on here. It doesn't seem very promising for RN's fresh out of school right now. If I stay in nevada for a little while I can work for the company i am with right now and get some experience first. But i still have a couple semesters to figure it out. I'm glad that you told me that though, its something to definitely consider if the job market seems to be promising out there, then i can have the results sent there i guess. thanks so much!
