query on internationl students pursuing BSN degree/ job application after graduation

Published

I am neither a citizen nor a permanent resident (green card holder). I am currently working in New York City on a H1B Visa. I am very much interested in pursing a Nursing degree (BSN). I found out all the information and decided to join a accelerated program as I already have a bachelors degree. However, I am not sure as to what happens when I finish my degree. Will the hospital here in US sponsor for my work authorization/permit so that I can work here in US ? I contacted several admission programs but none of them answered my questions. Some of them answered in the negative. Now am not sure if i should join this program ?

Are they any people on this forum who fit the above profile ? Are there any internation people here who are currently pursuing BSN degree (here in US) on a F1 student visa. If so please do reply.

thanks in advance

Currently you will find it hard to find anyone to petition you due to retrogression. Retrogression has been ongoing since Oct 2006 with no idea what will happen in the future but a lot depends on country of birth as some countries have a lot higher demand than others and visa allocation is done on place of birth

I would suggest a good read on here, training in the US will not make it any easier for you
