I took my NCLEX yesterday and can't believe that I got 33 SATAs (select all that apply questions)....after I got 10 in a row, it kinda became funny :chuckle. It seemed like some kind of cruel joke or something. I have no idea how I did- definitely have never felt worse about a test in my life!!! Guess I will find out in a few days.
I used Kaplan and i'm not really sure if it helped me or not. I hadn't even heard of most of the drugs I was tested on. I can only wait and hope that I passed I suppose. I wish you all good luck on your exams- and I hope your test does not look like mine did!

OMG I would have died! I hate them but probably only got 8 or so, didn't want to throw my focus by counting.

I had 18 SATA, a lot of meds, infection control, ethical/legal, prioritization, and only two calculations (mcg/kg/min to ml/hr and d/h x amt). My SATA included many drugs (some I was unfamilar with), ob and pedi pt.'s in the scenarios, and infection control teaching for staff. Passed with 75!!!! Good Luck

I feel your pain. I took the NCLEX friday 6/27 in cali. I had 22 SATA questions. I had several med questions on meds I am not familiar with. I had lots of infection control questions, and questions on who should the nurse call first. Only one calculation questions and it was easy, figuring gtt/min. I stopped at 75 questions so I am either totally a dumb ass or I did great. The pain of waiting is awful. I live in cali, so no quick results for me. It helps reading everybodys feedback, makes me feel like I am not alone in all this. I got great grades in school, did the ATI predictor, 2 of them, and both said I would have a 99% chance of passing on the first try. I also did tons of practice test, but I still walked out of there thinking that I totally bombed that. I start my new grad job on July7th, I am so scared I wont pass. I am trying to stay positive. I have been diverting my attention to other things, but its hard to be totally present in things, when your mind and heart is dying to know the results. I feel your pain about the SATA questions, it was like somebody wanted me to fail.
My virtual ati instructor said that there is a good chance that some or most of the freebies may have been the SATA questions, I sure hope so.
Good luck to you, I bet you and I both passed. GOD help us!!!:zzzzz:imbar

I also took the test on 6/27 in Cali- so we'll probably be getting our results around the same time. The guy at the Pearson test center said they could be up by Monday or Tuesday on the CA BON website. I really hope so. My new grad job also starts on July 7th...if I passed!! Yikes.
I can honestly say that I have never felt so sick with worry in my life. I keep telling myself not to worry because there is nothing I can do anyway, and statistically I most likely passed. I had straight A's in school and my ATI results had me at a 98% chance of passing on the first try....its funny how those things don't seem to matter or make any difference though. It seems like total dumb luck if you pass or not. Even if all the "freebie" questions were SATA, that still means that I had 18 SATA that DID count towards my final score, and its hard to believe that I got any of them right. Well, all I can do is wait now...and try to keep myself busy. Good luck to you as well!
i feel sick with worry too. I consider myself a strong nurse, I have been an LVN for 13 years, I work in a high acuity urgent care now, and am suppossed to start in the ED on 6/7. To think that its possible that I failed the NCLEX is just insane. How would I face my coworkers and my family. I had to pass, WE had to pass. Please keep in touch and let me know as soon as you get your results, and I will do the same. Theresa:coollook:

I take NCLEX in 2 weeks.. I will let you know how it is and how it goes. Please pray for me **sigh....
Rootedredwood and newstart08, I know it's hard but try and stay positive. I think it is horrible that Ca doesn't participate in the quick results. I will keep my fingers crossed and I'm sure you both passed!!!!!!!!
Just found out I passed! Still hasn't sunk in yet. I must have guessed real good on those 33 SATAs.....didn't think it was possible. So glad that chapter is over! Now I can actually start work on Monday....phew!
Newstart08- I have a good feeling that you are going to pass as well! Best wishes!
